Don't waste any more time or money on marketing until you’ve read this!
Take just 5 minutes to read these 5 FREE copywriting tips. They’ll help you transform your words and sky-rocket your sales.
You know how it is when you're writing your new brochure or web site – or perhaps it's a new advert or some direct mail.
You can feel 'stuck', not knowing what to say that will make people respond. What's more, the whole
thing eats up your time and 'thinking space'.
With these FREE power-packed tips from Content Creation, you'll quickly be able to create potent and
persuasive content that will help transform the results from your marketing. (And remember, most people
don't do this – so you’ll be 5 steps ahead right away.)
1. Headlines: Whet their appetite!
This is THE single most important part of ANY marketing content. What will you say in your headline to encourage
someone to read your first paragraph? Make sure you include the most interesting benefit for the
reader, perhaps shaping it in terms of a promise or guarantee. Why not include an offer in your
headline – a reason to respond that they simply can’t ignore? And if you make the whole thing
intriguing at the same time, you're on to a winner, e.g. "How to achieve stunning response
rates by adding just one single word to your headline".
2. Benefits: What are you really selling?
If you're in the furniture business, are you selling armchairs or a wonderful, relaxing space in
which to read the paper with a coffee on a Sunday morning? If you're in the web design business, are
you selling e-commerce web sites or a fantastic way for someone to earn money while they're asleep?
What amazing experience does your product or service provide? Take your answers one step further and
think about the additional knock-on benefits for your customer's day-to-day life. Including these
things in your content will make your products and services deliciously appealing!
3. Offers: Create an enticing, time-limited offer
Build a sense of urgency into the purchase decision by promoting an introductory or special offer, e.g.
a free gift, free consultancy, half price offer – all sorts of things. A good offer makes a huge,
positive difference to response rates. Make sure it's something your target reader will actually
want, then give your offer a time limit and make it extraordinarily easy for people to respond.
Make sure you test various different offers before you invest a lot of money in promoting them.
4. Third party endorsement: Use free tips and testimonials
Write a simple case study (with a testimonial) that's relevant to the kind of person who'll be
reading your words. You'll inspire confidence in your services and demonstrate how you can easily
solve those nitty-gritty day-to-day problems – the very ones that your reader also encounters! Use
statistics where possible. You can do this to show that you bring genuine, positive results, and
also to show that the market is ready for your product or service. This all helps persuade people
to buy.
5. Impact: Make it easier to read – visually
Think about how you read other people's brochures, mailings, adverts, etc. Usually, you notice the
headline and the logo. You might be drawn to a photograph or image with a caption. You might look
down the page to see whose contact details are printed. If it's a sales letter, there might be a
'P.S.' and, given that you'll be looking at who has signed the letter, you'll probably read the
P.S., too. There could be a customer quote to one side of the page, or there might be bullet points
that make the content easy to read. All these things – and more – will help your reader to absorb
your message quickly and easily. And the easier you make it for the reader, the more likely they
are to read it and respond!
